Jordan Spieth

What did Spieth say after his clutch eagle?

It was an eventful back nine for Jordan Spieth on Sunday at the British Open. Perhaps a bit more unpredictable than he would've liked, but thrilling for viewers at home.

After a shaky first half of his round, Spieth looked to hand the trophy away when he blew his tee shot so far right on his 13th hole that he needed to take an unplayable. He followed that bogey with a near-ace birdie on the next hole, and then moved into the lead alone with an eagle on the next.

It was an astonishing turnaround from Spieth, made possible by his supreme talent. But the thing people loved about it the most? Jordan Spieth's reaction after his shot. Rather than fist pumping or collecting his ball, he simply pointed at the hole, said something to his caddie and walked off the green.

So, what did Spieth say?

If you look closely, Spieth says to his caddie, Michael Greller, "can you get that?" Spieth had fallen behind because of his antics on the previous hole, so he was trying to play fast. He asked Greller to get his ball so he could make his way quickly to the next hole.
