Royal Caribbean’s Grandeur of the Seas arrived in her new homeport of Baltimore, Maryland this morning where she will begin sailing year-round Bermuda, Bahamas, and Caribbean sailings. Grandeur will also offer select Canada/New England sailings as well. Grandeur of the Seas replaces Enchantment of the Seas for Royal Caribbean’s Baltimore cruises. Grandeur is…well…. grander than she was when MrsMJ and I last sailed on her from Baltimore, yes, for our honeymoon! Royal Caribbean has produced a video detailing some of the neat new features that have been added since Grandeur last visited Baltimore. Enjoy! Now, let’s book a cruise!
As a DC area resident this looks really good. I went on Enchantment a few years ago to Bermuda and loved it. However one huge negative was the rockiness especially out to Bermuda. I can only imagine Grandeur handles the seas even worse since its smaller. May have to leave the newer ships for Bermuda itineraries (Quantum and Breakaway)
@Jeremy,
It can actually be fairly calm heading to Bermuda at times, but the “rockiness” has more to do with being in the open Atlantic than whether you’re cruising on Grandeur vs Enchantment.
