MADISON – Head coach Paul Chryst and three returning starters are set to represent Wisconsin at the Big Ten Conference preseason football meetings Monday and Tuesday in Chicago.

Senior linebacker Jack Cichy, senior tight end Troy Fumagalli and redshirt junior linebacker T.J. Edwards are UW’s player representatives.

Cichy tied for fourth on the team in tackles last season (60) despite missing the final seven games after suffering a torn pectoral muscle at Iowa.

Fumagalli led UW in catches (47) and finished second in receiving yards (580). He capped his season with six catches for 83 yards and a touchdown in UW’s 24-16 victory over Western Michigan in the Cotton Bowl.

Edwards missed the opener while recovering from a broken foot but led UW in tackles (89) for the second consecutive season. He added three interceptions, tied for the No. 3 mark on the team. His final interception set up UW’s clinching score in the bowl game.
