The area is the same London Westminster neighborhood as the Palace of Westminster Parliament building and St. James’s Park tube station and InterContinental Westminster hotel.

Threadneedles is a boutique hotel with 74 rooms and much smaller than St. Ermin’s. The historical building was formerly the offices of London, Midland and City Bank. The hotel is opposite the Bank of England on Threadneedle Street.
The building was converted into a hotel at a cost of 21 million GBP. Threadneedles was the first luxury hotel to open within the Square Mile of the City of London. The stained glass dome in the lobby dates to 1856.

Glasshouse Hotel, Edinburgh
