Coming Friday: Live video from Mesac Damas’ pretrial conference

Coming Friday: We will provide a live video stream of Mesac Damas’ pretrial conference starting at 9 a.m. Friday on naplesnews.com.

A hearing, known as a Faretta inquiry, will allow Circuit Judge Fred Hardt — the third judge to oversee Damas’ case — to determine whether Damas is competent to conduct trial proceedings.

Damas is accused of killing his wife and five children in their North Naples home.
