Kimpton Hotels ‘Strike a Pose’ Photo Contest

Kimpton Hotels has a new yoga mat benefit to promote exercise for guests.

This week and next from April 23 to May 3, 2013, Kimpton Hotels will use the ‘Wine Hour’ for yoga activities.

Yoga with a wine glass is something I have not tried myself.

The new yoga program also includes 24-hour on demand programming for pilates and yoga video. Complimentary bikes are another fitness feature of Kimpton Hotels.

Kimpton also is helping to remove obstacles to getting in a little healthy activity while on the road, with a new complimentary “Roll-Out Service.” Upon request of the service, Kimpton will come to the guest’s room, meticulously roll out the mat and furnish extra towels, flavored water, an assortment of fresh fruit or an energizing mix of dried fruit and nuts, and set the TV to Kimpton’s complimentary on-demand yoga or Pilates channel for inspiration.

To learn more about Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, visit, www.KimptonHotels.com, www.LifeisSuite.com, www.Facebook.com/Kimpton or www.Twitter.com/Kimpton. Additionally, to inspire guests to get to know “Mr. (Yoga) Mat,” Kimpton has also launched a playful video: http://youtu.be/XvxoKsicqtg.

Kimpton Hotels In Touch and Inner Circle loyalty program

Kimpton Hotels loyalty program has garnered attention among several BoardingArea bloggers in 2013 with its generous benefits of free nights at new hotels.

I wrote about the fantastic benefits of the In Touch hotel loyalty program in 2011: Kimpton Hotels Fast Free Nights Plan 2011

Kimpton’s In Touch is not a points-based loyalty program. One free night is earned every 7 stays or 20 nights. Eligible stays and nights roll over each year so 5 stays and 10 nights from 2010 are still counted in 2013 for the 7 stays and 20 nights free night requirement.

In Touch Inner Circle elite membership status is earned after 15 stays or 45 nights in a calendar year.

A major benefit of Inner Circle is the opportunity for one free night at any new Kimpton Hotel during their window of newness. In 2011 there were 51 Kimpton Hotels and in 2013 there are 61 hotels. That meant a potential 10 free nights as an Inner Circle elite member.

Angelina at Just Another Points Travelerwrote up a good summary of her experience receiving Kimpton Inner Circle benefits and a free night in D.C.

Status matches from other hotel loyalty programs make Inner Circle elite an easy catch.

So easy in fact, the rules changed last month requiring newly status matched Inner Circle members to have completed three paid stays before being eligible for the free night at a new Kimpton Hotel benefit.

Inner Circle members may enjoy one free night at participating new hotels during the designated offer period. The free night benefit is good for a deluxe category room and the Inner Circle upgrade benefit may not be confirmed in advance of check-in. Blackout dates do apply. This benefit is not transferrable and the room must be booked under the elite member’s name. This benefit is restricted for reciprocity elites: Starting March 18, 2013 reciprocity elites will have to complete at least three (3) eligible stays before they can take advantage of the “Free Night at our New Hotels Offer.”This free night offer cannot be booked until the requirement is met.

I hope I don’t have to strike a yoga pose. Mine would be “slouching in chair.”
