A body found in the rubble of this burned home on Scott Lane has been identified as the owner, Tamela Sweeley-Bissonnette.

The owner of a home at 6232 Scott Lane has been identified as the victim of a fatal fire Tuesday morning at that address.

Christie Knudson, spokeswoman for South Trail Fire and Rescue said that the body found in the ruins of the home has been identified as that of Tamela "Tammy" Sweeley-Bissonnette, 58. A pet dog also died in the fire, Knudson said.

Sweeley-Bissonnette was listed as the owner of the home on the Lee County Property Appraiser website.

The fire remains under investigation by the state fire marshal, Knudson said.

South Trail crews kept watch over the ruins overnight, she said, and were pressed back into service when the fire rekindled around 1:30 a.m.

"It was a deep-seated fire," she said. "After big fires like this you have to get in there with heavy equipment."

South Trail and Iona-McGregor fire departments fought the fire.
