March 1. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. I’ve been flying like a pro, but unfortunately, my new travel patterns didn’t come to fruition until later in 2012. What does that mean? Yesterday, I was greeted by this screen when logging in to the Fly Delta App for iPad.
But today, I am greeted like this.
Insert sad face here. 🙂 OK…I’m kidding, but only a little. It is what it is. And assuming I keep flying like I have been, I’ll be golden again in no time. My Silver Medallion membership packet arrived this week. Only thing I miss from the gold packet is the drink/snack coupons. Otherwise, it seems the same.
Things I’ll miss the most about Gold Medallion? Sky Priority boarding right after First Class, Have One On Us, and a higher likelihood of maybe, just maybe, getting upgraded (in that order). In the meantime, at least I’ll have Zone 1 boarding, and PreCheck via Global Entry beats most any elite priority security lane I’ve experienced. Now, time to stop sulking and fly!

This is my second year as silver and I still haven’t had me packet mailed to me! I’ve given up asking Delta to send it to me.
