A contractor who died during an armed robbery at a Culver's restaurant in Madison was identified by the Dane County medical examiner's office Wednesday as Christ Edward Kneubuehl, 56, of Twin Lakes in Kenosha County.

The cause of Kneubuehl's death is pending test results, however he did not die from inflicted trauma, according to a news release from the office.

The robbery, committed by two men, at least one armed with a gun, happened about 3 a.m. Monday at the restaurant,  2102 W. Beltline Highway, while Kneubuehl and three other men were working on a remodeling project, according to Madison police.
