Former Wisconsin Badger Sam Dekker traded to LA Clippers as part of Chris Paul deal

Sheboygan's Sam Dekker, a star on Wisconsin's Final Four teams, has been traded from the Houston Rockets to the LA Clippers as part of a deal for All Star point guard Chris Paul.

According to USA TODAY and other reports, the Rockets have agreed to trade Dekker along with Patrick Beverly and Lou Williams for Paul.

The Clippers will also receive a 2018 first-round draft pick.

Dekker played a big role in Wisconsin's back-to-back Final Four appearances in 2014 and 2015.

He was selected 18th overall by the Rockets in the 2015 draft after ending his three-year basketball career with the Badgers.

The second-team All-Big Ten selection was out for most of his rookie year in the NBA due to a back injury, but came back healthy for his second season and averaged 6.5 points per game while shooting 47 percent from the floor.
