Fireworks recalled ahead of Fourth of July

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission Tuesday issued a recall for TNT Red, White, & Blue Smoke fireworks just before the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

The recalled fireworks are designed to smoke red, white or blue when lit, but CPSC has reported three incidents where the device exploded unexpectedly after being lit, causing burn and injury hazards to consumers.

The CPSC is recalling over 36,000 fireworks, which have been sold at Meijer, Wal-Mart, Target, and Kroger from May to June, affecting Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio and Vermont.
