POWER RANGERS (Lionsgate) Five teenagers with attitude are recruited to save the world by a floating talking head (played by Bryan Cranston) from an alien villain named Rita Repulsa (Elizabeth Banks). T2: TRAINSPOTTING (Sony) Twenty years after they blew up, a group of violence-prone, addicted, laze-about pals reunite for more of the same — but, you know, they’re older. Director Danny Boyle and the cast of the darkly enchanting 1996 British semi-comedy reunite, including Ewan McGregor, Robert Carlyle, Jonny Lee Miller, Ewen Bremner, Kelly Macdonald. (R; drug use, pervasive language, sex, nudity, some violence)

CHIPS (Warner) A reckless cop is assigned to go undercover in the motorcycle highway patrol to find some bad guys, and is assigned as a partner a bike-riding wizard permanently addled by pain medication. ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING (Fox) To decide Earth's fate, aliens give infinite power to an average earthling who doesn't know that he must do something worthwhile or the planet's finished. Comedy featuring the voices of the surviving members of Monty Python's Flying Circus (as the aliens), Simon Pegg as their witless human subject, and, in what's billed as his last movie role, Robin Williams — as the voice of Pegg's dog.
