During that time, Jablonski shut out Woodland East Division foes Shorewood, 2-0, and Whitnall, 3-0, and also had victories over New Berlin Eisenhower and South Milwaukee. His earned run average is 1.67 after striking out 28 batters in 25 innings.

TEAM OF THE WEEK: Marquette. The Hilltoppers won five games in five straight days last week starting with a 6-1 win at Menomonee Falls on June 19. They also defeated West Allis Central, 11-1, Franklin, 9-6, Brookfield Central, 6-2, and Cudahy, 14-4, on Friday, highlighted by an eight-run seventh inning.

UNDEFEATED NO MORE: Oak Creek was 16-0 when it lost to Brookfield East, 6-5, last Tuesday. The Spartans scored four times in the top of the first and then the Knights got their five runs in the bottom of the frame. East tied the score in the sixth and got another run in the seventh. Jack Steger finished with three RBI for East, which lost by two runs to Oak Creek earlier in the season.

GREENDALE RECOVERS: After a 2-4 stretch, Greendale has won its last six games – including the last five by a total of just six runs. In the last four of them, the Panthers have given up just five runs.

PLAYING WELL: Germantown is 16-3 in its last 19 games and the losses were to No. 1 West Bend West (twice) and No. 3 Franklin. The Warhawks lost to the Spartans last Tuesday and won their next three games by a total of 16 runs. One of the wins was against West Bend East to snap the Suns’ seven-game winning streak.

ALL-STAR RESULTS: The annual WCBA All-Stat Classic was held this weekend in Oshkosh and the East team, comprised of athletes from the area, went 1-2. In a 6-4 win over the North, South Milwaukee’s Jake Simucak collected two hits, two RBI and two runs. The East lost to the West, 2-0, and to the South, 9-6.
