Indiana corn 46%; soybeans 51% good to excellent
While spotty rain showers provided relief to some farmers in the state, much of Indiana’s corn and soybean crops continue to struggle.
According to the latest weekly crop report just 46 percent of corn was rated good to excellent. Ninety-five percent of the crop is emerged and 2 percent in silking.
Just 51 percent of soybeans are rated good to excellent and 90 percent of the crop is emerged and 2 percent blooming.
Winter wheat harvest is ramping up with 35 percent of the crop cut and 86 percent is mature.
Twenty-one percent of alfalfa hay is on its second cutting
