Omg, I am back to reading and blogging. I have hinted at the dark bipolar depression that overtook me the last three months, but I haven’t gone into much detail. Let’s just say I sat on my couch and stared into space for almost three months. I was managed to drag my ass to the shrink, and they increased my meds. The first time didn’t so anything for me but the second increase worked! This recent Friday I woke up ready to hit the gym. I was shocked. I also read a lot this weekend. I managed to finish TWO books! I am hoping I am back to “normal” now. crossesfingersandtoes

Anyway I finished

The Three Body Problem– I will have a review up shortly, but the main thing is y’all gotta read this book. It is hard Sci-Fi, so if you not into that, you won’t like it. I wish we had access to more translated works. I wish there WERE more translated works. Just think of all the books we are missing cause we can’t read Chinese! Hmmph Anyway needless to say this is going on my top ten for the year.

What Best Next– As a die-hard devotee of the Getting Things Done system I needed a book like this. I am a Christian, and I have read many books, but this one had one of the best stuff on Justification that I have read in my life. If you are not a Christian, then you can skip the first half and go to the second half which he proposes the most genius ideas on the “snags” in the GTD method. Seriously this man is a genius. I am recommended this book to everyone Christian or not. As always will have a review up shortly.

I have an ambitious list for this week.

SuperBetter– I am back in therapy for my bipolar, and my therapist had heard of this program (here is the link to the game if you want). So she wanted to play it with me. I was like fine, so I need to read this book to brush up on what it requires. It is not complicated but there are rules and to get the most out of it, you need to play it right. SO I have read it before, but I didn’t have a therapist working with me on it, so we shall see what it is like to have a trained medical professional as an ally.

The Zombie Survival Guide– Something fun to get my brain off the fact that I am on sick leave once again. I get so tired of dealing with this illness, but reading takes my brain off of that. I mean who cares about being locked up in your apt when you are avoiding zombies?! Yes, I live in my own little world.

Crazy Sexy Diet– I am also addressing my eating issues in therapy, and I saw this at the library and thought it looked good. This girl had healed herself of cancer by going all vegan. I read that and was like hmmmm I gotta read this. Maybe I can heal myself! Heh, I don’t think so BUT if you are in tip top physical health then you can more easily get your mental illness under control, so I am willing to try it.

Toos Of Titians– This has been on my list for ages. I am determined to finally read it this week.

It really is!! I am a huge gaming Nerd so when I first read it I was like this sounds cool but I wasn’t sick at the time so I didn’t think too much about it. Now that I am “sick” I am curious to see how well it works.

I’m putting the Three-Body Problem on my wishlist. I have the Zombie Survival Guide on my TBR but it’s currently in storage. It’s been a busy week with a cracked toilet, day camp, and paperwork for cross country. Come see what I’m reading
