Oriental Theatre's 90th anniversary

"Casablanca": The movie palace is celebrating its 90th birthday a week early (it opened July 2, 1927) Sunday with cake and a magic show starting in the lobby at 6 p.m., and a showing of the 1942 classic with Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman and "As Time Goes By" at 7:15 p.m. $10, $8 for students and $7.50 for children.

Milwaukee Symphony plays 'La La Land' 

Last year's Oscar-winning musical is showing at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra playing Nicolet High School grad Justin Hurwitz's Oscar-winning score. Riverside Theatre, 116 W. Wisconsin Ave. $29.50, $45.50, $55.50 and $75.50.
