Police log: Police investigating death

LURGAN TOWNSHIP - Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg is investigating a death in Lurgan Township. 

According to the report, the incident occurred at about 4 p.m. on June 14 in 10000 block of Newburg Road.

A 19-year-old woman is listed as the victim on the police report. 

Police said the death is not suspicious, and the public is not in danger.

DUI CHECKPOINT: Pennsylvania State Police will conduct a DUI checkpoint this July. According to the report, authorities will target roads that experience a high amount of DUI-related arrests and crashes.

HARASSMENT: Carlin Nelson Henry, 23, is accused of shoving another man during an argument at about 2 a.m. on June 17 in the 18000 block of Dry Run Road West in Fannett Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg.

DUI/CRASH: Cody L. Lopes, 30, Chambersburg, was arrested for DUI-related charges after, according to Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg, he drove off of Rowe Run Road in a 2014 Chevrolet Cruz at about midnight on June 19 and struck a utility pole. Lopes was cited with traffic violations. The vehicle was towed.

CRASH: Lauren D. Beaston, 30, Fayetteville, was taken to Chambersburg Hospital for injuries after she was struck by another vehicle, Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg said.  According to the report, Darrius D. Johnson, 23, Owing Mills, Maryland, was driving a tractor-trailer east on Lincoln Way East at about 1:45 a.m. on June 20, when he made a u-turn and struck Beaston who was driving a 2015 Nissan Versa. Johnson was cited with traffic violations. Both vehicles were towed.

HARASSMENT: Jeffrey Barnhart, 29, Fort Loudon, will be cited with harassment after Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg responded to a domestic dispute at about 6:40 a.m. on June 19 in Peters Township. According to the report, a Mercersburg woman told police Barnhart allegedly threw her to the ground twice during an argument. Charges will be filed through the district court.

HARASSMENT: Ashley Snyder, 29, Myersville, Maryland, is accused of attempting to punch a Fayetteville woman in the stomach at about 10 p.m. on May 28 in Quincy Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg. The investigation continues.  

(Incident PA2017-573033) 

CRASH: An unidentified driver is accused of fleeing after being involved in a three-vehicle crash on Mont Alto Road at about 11:30 a.m. on June 10. According to the report, Kaitlin C. Ganoe, 21, Greencastle, stopped to turn left onto Moyle Drive in a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze when she was struck by a 2005 GMC Sierra, driven by Seth T. Pfannebecker, 27, Greencastle. The GMC was then struck by someone driving a 2006 Dodge Durango, the report shows. Ganoe was taken to Chambersburg Hospital with possible minor injuries. The driver of the Dodge fled the area in an unknown direction. Pfannebecker was cited with traffic violations.

HARASSMENT: Bryan Wayne Campbell, 28, Chambersburg, was cited with criminal mischief and harassment in connection to an incident which occurred at about 10:30 p.m. on June 15 in Greene Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg. Citations were filed through the district court.

Cumberland County 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: A 17-year-old Carlisle boy was charged with aggravated assault after Pennsylvania State Police, Carlisle said he allegedly threw a metal bar stool at a Dillsburg man injuring his face at about 7:30 p.m. on June 10 in South Middleton Township. The investigation continues.
