Opening of new fire station for Nogal area celebrated

Silent auction to be staged

Members of the Nogal Fire Fighters Association invite the public to join them in celebrating the opening of the AbiAnn Fire Station July 8.

From noon to 5 p.m., hamburgers, hot dogs and sodas will be served at the station at mile marker 5 on New Mexico Highway 37.

The new Nogal Volunteer Fire Department substation named the Abi Ann Station, was under construction at the time of this photo.

A silent auction will be conducted to raise money to benefit the Nogal Volunteer Fire Department in obtaining needed equipment and supplies not covered under the state fire protection fund allocation.

Donations for the silent auction are being accepted. Contact member Carl McDaniel at 354-5707 for a pickup or more information.

The association is a C-3 nonprofit organization.
