Police log: Woman, children injured in crash

Three  passengers in a minivan were injured during a one-vehicle accident Monday,  June 19, 2017 at around 10 a.m. in the 2800 block of Philadelphia Av., Chambersburg. Two patients were airlifted following the crash. One patient was transported from the scene while another flown from the helipad at Chambersburg Hospital.

GREENE TOWNSHIP - A Chambersburg woman and her 3- and 5-year-old passengers suffered injuries during a crash on Philadelphia Avenue.

According to state police, Crystal J. Hepfer-McCleary, 36, was driving a 2003 Chrysler Town & Country north at about 9:50 a.m. on June 19, when she crossed over the center left-turn lane and the oncoming traffic lane. Hepfer-McCleary then drove into the grass and struck a culvert, the report shows.

Hepfer-McCleary suffered possible serious injuries and was flown from Chambersburg Hospital to Hershey Medical Center. The 5-year-old child was also flown to Hershey for treatment. 

The 3-year-old child was taken to Chambersburg Hospital with moderate injuries. 

Hepfer-McCleary was cited with traffic violations.

HARASSMENT: A Harrisonville woman was cited with harassment after Pennsylvania State Police, McConnellsburg said she allegedly struck a Harrisonville man in the face at about 7 p.m. on June 18 in Licking Creek Township.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Someone egged two vehicles in South Middleton Township between 8:30 p.m. on June 11 and 6:30 a.m. on June 12, according to Pennsylvania State Police, Carlisle. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police at 717-249-2121.

HARASSMENT: George McNaughton Jr., Newville, is accused of shoving another Newville man at about 9:10 p.m. on June 19 in Lower Mifflin Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police, Carlisle.

POSSESSION: Timothy Roberts, 27, Clover, South Carolina, was taken to the Cumberland County Prison after Pennsylvania State Police, Carlisle said he was allegedly found in possession of illegal drugs and paraphernalia at about 8 p.m. on June 13. The investigation continues.

HIT-AND-RUN: Alanna M. Leon, 20, Hummelstown, is accused of fleeing after Pennsylvania State Police, Carlisle said she was backing out of a parking stall on West Grantham Road in a 2010 Ford Fusion and struck a 2012 Jeep Wrangler at about 3:14 p.m. on June 17. Leon was cited with traffic violations, the report shows.
