Must-Have Treats and Snacks at Walt Disney World

Best known for its wonderful attractions and beautiful lands, there are also some delicious must-have treats and snacks at Walt Disney World. Some can only be found in one place within the entire park, so it can almost be a scavenger hunt to find the best.

Here are some of the best must-have treats and snacks at Walt Disney World. Did I leave out your favorite? Leave me a comment!

Disclosure: Note that I’ve experienced these treats on my many visits to Walt Disney World – some of which were press, media, or complimentary trips. All opinions are my own. Disney World Treats and Snacks

Mickey Bar

Arguably the most famous of the treats at Walt Disney World, the iconic Mickey bar is a perennial favorite. Mickey-shaped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate coating, these yummy treats are a great way to beat the heat. You can get them at the ubiquitous ice cream carts around the park. I definitely recommend getting one.

Zebra Domes - small white balls with chocolate drizzle

Zebra Domes

The first time I stayed at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, I had heard that I absolutely HAD to try zebra domes. They are available exclusively at Animal Kingdom Lodge, at the Mara (quick-service restaurant) as well as Boma.

It’s a cream mousse treat that tastes a little like tiramisu. My kids loved them even at a young age – they are one of their favorite treats. If you are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, you’ll definitely want to try them.

Dole Whip

Although Dole Whips aren’t exclusive to Walt Disney World, they are definitely associated with the park. This pineapple soft-serve treat is so refreshing, so it’s great for a hot day.

They can be found at Aloha Isle at Disney’s Magic Kingdom as well as at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. I can’t visit Walt Disney World without getting one.

Beignets

This popular Creole dessert can be found at Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter resort, in the quick-service restaurant. They are made to order and are absolutely delicious.

Beignets are not sold in the Riverside section, but it’s a quick and worthwhile walk to get some. This is the only place to get beignets on the property, so if you are in the area, you’ll definitely want to try them.

A carrot cake cookie at Walt Disney

I love carrot cake, so when I originally heard about this cookie, I knew that I had to have it. More of a cupcake than cookie, the Carrot Cake Cookie is definitely big enough to share.

In recent years, it’s changed over to a Carrot Cake Whoopie Pie. This treat is available at the Trolley Car Cafe, which also serves Starbucks in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The Kitchen Sink

The kitchen sink, which can be purchased at Beaches and Cream at Disney’s Beach Club, is definitely a treat to be shared. It’s a huge ice cream sundae that is meant to be shared among four people.

You can see all of the ingredients here. Even for four people, it’s definitely a challenge to finish the whole thing.

You can get to the Beach Club easily through the back entrance of EPCOT, so you can easily eat there even if you aren’t staying there. Just be sure to make Advance Dining Reservations, as Beaches and Cream is a popular spot.

Create Your Own Crisped Rice Treat at Goofy’s Candy Company

If you find yourself at Disney Springs, head over to Goofy’s Candy Company to create your own crisped rice treat at Goofy’s Candy Company. Guests can choose one dip (types of chocolate), one topping (lots of delicious options), and one drizzle (white, milk, or dark chocolate).

Anything at Karamell-Küche in Germany at Epcot

Karamell-Küche, which is presented by Werther’s Original in Germany in EPCOT’S World Showcase, features dozens of delicious caramel treats. The caramel popcorn is especially delicious. I usually stop for something small, since I’m usually eating my way around Epcot.

Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse

One of the newest treats on the property is the Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse, served at Satu’li Canteen in Pandora at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It’s sweet but very delicious. I’d definitely recommend sharing it.

Grapefruit Cake at the Hollywood Brown Derby

My favorite all-time dessert is the Grapefruit Cake at the Hollywood Brown Derby at Disney’s Hollywood Studio. They’ll give you the recipe, and I’ve tried to make it, but it never tastes as good as the Brown Derby version.

I recommend starting with the delicious Cobb Salad, followed by the cake. It’s a pretty light (and inexpensive) meal, but so delicious and memorable.

I love the Chesire Cat tails at Magic Kingdom by the teacups. They were easily my favorite snack during my last visit.

This is an awesome list! I have to get a Dole Whip on every visit. My favorite is the pineapple vanilla swirl they do at the Pineapple Lanai at the Polynesian... plus no park ticket required!
