Pedestrian high on mushrooms hurt after running into stopped vehicle, police say
The man ran into a stopped vehicle and injured his arm, according to police.

A pedestrian slammed into a stopped vehicle in Tempe on Monday, later telling officials he was high on mushrooms, police said.
The driver of the vehicle had stopped in the middle of a residential street near University Drive and Dorsey Lane after seeing the pedestrian acting "abnormal," according to Tempe Police Department Spokeswoman Sgt. Josie Montenegro.
The unidentified man, believed to be in his 20s, then ran into the vehicle, injuring his arm, Montenegro said.
Psilocybin mushrooms — better known as "magic mushrooms" — can cause hallucinations and a distorted sense of time, among other effects.
The man was taken to a hospital for further evaluation.
