All of the events listed below take place Monday.

Camarillo

Conejo Mountain Funeral Home, Memorial Park and Crematory and the city of Camarillo will host the 52nd Annual “Lest We Forget” Memorial Day service at 11 a.m. Conejo Mountain is at 2052 Howard Road. This year's ceremony will include keynote speaker Navy Capt. Jeffrey Kilian, a memorial bell ceremony for Camarillo residents who died in Vietnam, a helicopter flyover, a wreath tribute, mini therapy horses and a white dove release. Information: 482-1959.

Moorpark

A Memorial Day observance will be held at 10 a.m. at the Moorpark Veterans Memorial, located at the corner of Spring and Flynn Roads. Men and women who have served, are serving and who died in service to our country will be honored. Refreshments will be provided. Information: American Legion at 523-3355.

The Moorpark Morning Rotary Club is hosting its first-ever Field of Valor, a public display of 200 American flags set up at Tierra Rejada Park as a tribute to veterans of the U.S. military who have passed away either in service or through natural causes. An opening ceremony will take place at noon, with flags being carried into the park, located at 11900 Mountain Trail St., and speeches by dignitaries and service members. Port Hueneme

Capt. Chris Janke, commanding officer of Naval Base Ventura County, will be the keynote speaker at a 9 a.m. Memorial Day celebration in front of Port Hueneme City Hall, 250 N. Ventura Road. Also giving remarks will be Ventura County Supervisor Kelly Long, Jess Herrera of the Oxnard Harbor District board and a U.S. Army veteran, and Capt. Bill Hodge, a retired Navy combat aviator and Korea and Vietnam veteran. For more information, call the Port Hueneme Historical Society Museum at 986-6542.

Santa Paula

Veterans of Foreign Wars Mercer-Prieto Post 2043 of Santa Paula is hosting a ceremony at 10:30 a.m. at the Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery, 380 Cemetery Road. There will be a community wreath-laying ceremony and a roll call of Santa Paula residents who died in World Wars I and II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. There will also be a flag-folding ceremony, a dove release, a three-volley rifle salute and taps. Information: 525-3173 or 525-1424.

Simi Valley

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10049 in Simi Valley will present a Memorial Day ceremony at 10 a.m. at the Pioneer Cemetery, 1461 Thompson Lane. A military ceremony will be performed to honor those who died while in service to their country. Information: 285-8844.

Ventura

Ivy Lawn Memorial Park in Ventura will hold a ceremony at 10 a.m. at 5400 Valentine Road. The keynote speaker will be Capt. Douglas King, chief staff officer at Naval Base Ventura County. There will be a rifle salute, a flag-raising, taps and a flyover. Information: 642-1055

An observance will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Cemetery Park, also known as St. Mary's Cemetery, 1347 Main St. The ceremony will honor the 76 American veterans and one 1869 Medal of Honor recipient buried at the site. Information: 644-4449.

Westlake Village

The 27th annual Memorial Day Ceremony at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Griffin Memorial Park will take place at 10:30 a.m. at 5600 Lindero Canyon Road. The Air National Guard Band of the West Coast and the Dixieland Tailgators will perform, as will a choir made up of singers from local congregations. The cemetery is decorated with more than 1,400 small flags, placed on the graves of veterans by local Scout troops.
