Five wounded in separate Milwaukee shootings

Five people were wounded in four separate shootings within an 11-hour period in Milwaukee, including one who was not the intended target, police said Friday.

  •  A 24-year-old man suffered a non-life-threatening injury when he was shot about 12:30 p.m. Thursday in the 4400 block of N. 29th St.
  •  A 33-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man were seriously wounded when they were shot shortly after 7 p.m. Thursday in the 1600 block of S. 23rd St.
  • A 33-year-old woman suffered a non-life-threatening injury when she was shot shortly before 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the 3300 block of N. 12th St. as occupants of two vehicles exchanged gunfire.
  • A 51-year-old man who is not suspected of being the intended victim suffered a non-life-threatening injury when he was shot during a dispute between other individuals shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday in the 2700 block of W. Auer Ave.

All five victims were taken to hospitals and police were seeking suspects.
