A woman killed in a suspected domestic violence incident was identified by Milwaukee police Friday as Tyvitta G. Dischler, 26.

Dischler was found dead about 1 p.m. Wednesday inside a home in the 4700 block of W. Brentwood Ave.

Officers went to the home to search for the father of Dischler's 5-year-old son, who was wanted in a child abuse case for allegedly striking the boy, police said.

The 49-year-old man was arrested by Milwaukee police in Racine County later Wednesday.

The manner in which Dischler was killed has not been disclosed, but a police spokesman said investigators believe it involved domestic violence.
