Collier County sheriff’s deputies arrested an Immokalee man Wednesday on charges he raped a 6-year-old girl.

Adrian Trujillo

Adrian Trujillo, 35, faces a felony charge of lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim younger than 12.

The girl told investigators that in 2008, when she was 6, Trujillo had raped her in her mother’s bedroom. He also put her hand in his pants, according to an arrest report.

Trujillo showed deception on a polygraph test, reports said. During an interview with investigators, he admitted putting the girl’s hand in his pants. He said he did it for only a minute and realized what he was doing was wrong, reports said.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed an immigration hold on Trujillo, who is from Mexico. He previously had been arrested in Collier County on charges of driving without a license.
