With organized team activities (OTA’s) just now getting underway for the Dallas Cowboys, it’s the first chance we get to see the entire team together and start speculating exactly who is in and who is out in 2017. Rookies and veterans alike are susceptible to being cut or traded, which means each individual player should be trying to put their best foot forward in order to make the Cowboys roster.

It’s still early in the off-season to really determine the role the coaching staff has for each player, but that doesn’t make it any less fun to speculate which players could be cut or traded at some point.

The Dallas Cowboys usually don’t trade many of their players away, but since they have one of the deepest rosters they have had in a while, it wouldn’t be all that surprising to see them partake. There are just so many roster spots available after all.

With that in mind, I decided to put together a list of five Cowboys’ veterans who I personally think are at risk of seeing their time in Dallas come to an end. Most of the players listed shouldn’t come too much of a surprise, but there were a few shockers.

  1. Everybody but Hitchens, he’s been the most consistent out of the bunch. Yall are missing one , Tyrone Crawford. Big contract low production. Rid him, lets move on already if he dont show up this year

    • I thought about going with Crawford, but I think the Cowboys keep him around because of his ability to play different positions on the DL. I put Hitchens on this list because he does have trade value, but like you said he is the most consistent. I wouldn’t be completely surprised if he was traded if he ends up buried on the depth chart though. That way he doesn’t walk away at the end of the season without receiving any compensation in return.

  2. Hitchens gives your more insurance than the other positions. This defensive line needs to start fresh Crawford and Lawrence have done nothing impressive to keep them. Were keeping them because of the contract. Outside of Sean lee, maliek collins, anthony brown, and byron jones , everybody on this defense can be traded or cut

  3. TRAVIS DIGGS Hitchens he can’t cover no speed thus the pass interference call against the Lions he is sorry and to slow The Cowboys are the slowest team in Football and one of the stupidest if this is a word Look what the Patriots Did, see they were successful with those slow receiver but they had enough common sense to add Brandin Cooks from the Saints because you need some Blazing to open everything else a real deep threat would take this offense over the top
