Video: 'James Bond' Star Sir Roger Moore Dies At 89
Sir Roger Moore, who played James Bond for over a decade, far longer than any other Bond, died on Tuesday at the age of 89. Moore portrayed the world's most famous spy in seven feature films from 1973–1985, he was the third actor to play James Bond. Inspired by his friend Audrey Hepburn's charitable work, Moore became a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in 1991. In June of 2003, Moore was knighted for his charity work with the organization which dominated his public life for over a decade. His children Deborah, Geoffrey, and Christian wrote in a statement released on Twitter, "The love with which he was surrounded in his final days was so great it cannot be quantified in words alone.”
