Shippensburg area man missing

SHIPPENSBURG - A Shippensurg-area man was reported missing last week, and is believed to be in the Shippensburg or Chambersburg area.

Scott Shaffer, 48, was last seen on May 14 on Diller Road, according to a flyer put together by family and friends.

Pennsylvania State Police, Carlisle said they are attempting to find him to check on his welfare.

The flyer about Shaffer describes him as possibly appearing older, frailer and thinner than his age due to illness, and said he may walk hunched over with his head down.

Shaffer is described as having anxiety and depression, with physical tremors, according to the flyer. He is not a threat.

He was last seen wearing a blue wind breaker, white T-shirt, blue jeans and New Balance sneakers.
