South Nashville crash kills one, leaves two TDOT workers injured

Metro police are investigating a fatal crash in South Nashville Thursday evening. 

The wreck took place on Nolensville Pike just south of Swiss Avenue, and according to police, involved a Tennessee Department of Transportation vehicle and a Nissan Sentra. 

The driver of the Sentra is dead and the two TDOT workers suffered minor injuries, police said. 

It is not yet clear what caused the crash, and the identities of the people involved were not immediately known.
