The Marquette women’s track and field team poured it on in the rain.

Monique Felix, Terica Harris and Maya Marion won individual titles as the Golden Eagles ran away with their second-straight Big East outdoor championship on a rainy and windy Saturday in Villanova, Pa.

Harris, who won the long jump Friday, took the triple jump crown and was honored as the meet’s most outstanding field performer. Felix won gold in both the heptathlon and high jump, while placing second in the triple jump on the way to being named the meet's highest-point scorer with 28 points. Marion became the league’s first-ever three-time winner in the shot put.

RESULTS: Women, Men

The Golden Eagles rolled up 195 points. Villanova was second with 176.

In the men’s meet, MU’s bid for a repeat fell short. DePaul won with 205 points and the Golden Eagles were second with 183.

Freshman Sam Sagan led the decathlon heading into the final three events and wound up second.
