Are you someone who is interested in using clean products in your household? What about in your beauty routine? It’s baffling to find out all kinds of harmful ingredients are put into some of the products we use on a daily basis.
While I can’t say I live a “clean” lifestyle with my household and beauty products, I do like to try and incorporate as many products as I can. I am also passionate about finding and sharing clean options with my readers, as many of you all have asked me for recommendations.
I’m so happy to say that I’ve found an ethical and effective skincare brand – Trufora. It is a dermatologist developed brand in Austin, TX (I love that they’re a Texas brand!) that’s backed by clinical testing. All of the products are 100% vegan, certified cruelty-free, non-irritating and completely non-toxic. Right away I was intrigued by all of those properties. Clinically tested and clean? I have got to try these products out!
For one week, I tested out these four products: Day Serum 85, Titanium Day Cream SPF30, Night Serum 85, and the Intensive Night Treatment.
Morning Routine:
In the mornings (after cleansing), I’ve been incorporating the Day Serum 85 and then following up with the Titanium Day Cream SPF30. A little goes a long way with the serum, and spreads easily over the face with only 1-2 pumps. It feels luxurious on the skin. This serum protects the face from environmental pollutants and provides hydration. I was so ecstatic to find a daytime moisturizer with a physical sunscreen. This particular product was an award winner at the Indie Beauty Expo, and was recently patented. I loved it immediately. It is non-greasy, which most sunscreens tend to do to me, and wears well under my makeup.
Evening Routine:
In the evenings (after cleansing), I start with the Night Serum 85. This particular product is also patented and contains a potent anti-aging retinol alternative (another thing that piqued my interest, because I am hooked on retinols). It provides intense hydration but doesn’t irritate the skin. Lastly, I apply the Intensive Night Treatment, which is a deeply hydrating skin recovering moisturizer. A little goes a long way with this product. It is hydrating yet not heavy.
After only a week of use, I noticed an immediate brightening and overall clarity to my skin. The photo below is unretouched (aside from lighting adjustment). I am only wearing a bit of sheer BB cream (at that point, most of it had faded) and a coat of mascara.
I’ve even been having no makeup days and felt confident enough to leave the house and run errands! This is huge, because I rarely leave the house without something on my face. These products are definitely going to be a permanent staple in the skincare rounds.
If you would like to grab some products for yourself, Trufora can now be found at HSN. Your skin will thank you!
