1. JCMI ups the prizes for last Bingo of season

Sue Baum, chair of the Monday Night Bingo committee at the Jewish Congregation of Marco Island, located at 991 Winterberry Drive, announced that Bingo will end its 18th year, Monday, May 1, with three extra pots of money ready to be won.
Bingo is played every Monday night, from the first Monday in October through May 1.  A complimentary supper is served to each player.

In addition to prize money for 21 games and Hot Ball, there are drawings for gift certificates from Sami's Pizza and Jump Salon.
Bingo is open to the public. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., the first numbers are posted at 6:15 p.m. and the first game is called at 7 p.m.

2. This weekend: Eagle Open

The Eagle Open is Marco Island’s oldest running golf tournament; celebrating its 44th year of charity. Over the years more than $500,000 has been raised through the event. All proceeds benefit the Rotary Club of Marco Island Sunrise and the Rotary Club of Marco Island Noontime.

This year’s Eagle Open will be April 29 at Hammock Bay Golf & Country Club, 1370 Borghese Lane, Naples. Registration is from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast and 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Cost is $125 per person; $500 per foursome.  
All proceeds benefits local charities on Marco Island, including Marco Island Charter Middle School.

3. Saturday and Sunday: Arts extravaganza

Award-winning artist Tara O’Neill, is hosting her 14th Annual Art Extravaganza at the historic Little Bar Restaurant, 205 Harbor Place, Goodland.

This year the oil painter will be joined by guest artist, Karen Swanker.

A two-day reception, with creative refreshments, will be held from 1 until 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, April 29 and 30.
