Prep softball district roundup: Estero advances to district final

The Estero High School softball team advanced to the Class 7A-12 championship game after defeating Gulf Coast, 10-0, in five innings Wednesday.

Estero's Carly Campbell hit a three-run triple, and Lauren Hobbs had a pair of RBIs on two hits, while Caitlin Gibilisco, Riley Ennis, Cameron Obrochta, and Chelsea Dumas added an RBI each.

Hobbs struck out two and picked up the win.

The Wildcats will host the winner of the Palmetto Ridge vs. Naples game for the district crown at 7 p.m. on Friday.
