Lane reopened on southbound I-75 after double-fatality crash

Troopers are en route to a commercial motor vehicle vs. automobile accident on the southbound shoulder of Interstate 75 at the 116 mile marker of Lee County near Bonita Beach Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

There are two fatalities, the patrol stated in a news release. 

The inside southbound lane of I-75 has been opened to through traffic, the FHP reported shortly after 9 p.m., but the center and outside lanes remain closed.
