Bail was set at $30,000 Monday for Joseph Jakubowski, the Janesville man who was the subject of an intensive manhunt that lasted 10 days and involved more than 100 law enforcement officers.

Jakubowski appeared in a videoconference for the bond hearing Monday afternoon in Rock County Circuit Court on the three felony charges related to a burglary at a Janesville gun shop.

Investigators allege he took 18 weapons from the gun shop. He is also believed to have mailed a 161-page manifesto to President Donald Trump in which he railed against the government and religion in his manifesto, though he didn’t list specific targets for potential violence.

Media reports say Jakubowski was agitated during the court hearing, telling a court commissioner: "I'm not a slave, you can't tell me what to do."

Jakubowski was arrested early Friday morning on a Vernon County farm where he had set up a makeshift camp site. The property owner notified the local sheriff's department of a suspicious man after Jakubowski refused to leave the land. He was arrested without incident.
