BelAir Cantina, opening in Brookfield on April 17, has a wide tequila selection. It will be at 250 High St. in the Corners development on W. Blue Mound Road, east of S. Barker Road.

The Cali-Mex restaurant BelAir Cantina opens Monday in Brookield, the fifth BelAir and the first in Waukesha County.

It's at the Corners of Brookfield development on W. Blue Mound Road in the Town of Brookfield, east of S. Barker Road. BelAir is at 250 High St., across from the new Von Maur department store's entrance, at the northwest end of the Corners' market square.

The grand opening celebration will be April 21 to April 23. Half of all food sales that weekend will benefit Brookfield's Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts.

The new BelAir Cantina has seating for 160 in the restaurant and 100 outside. Sidewalk cafe seating will be available Monday; the patio will open at the end of April.

The restaurant will open at 11 a.m. weekdays and at 10 a.m. on weekends for brunch. The kitchen closes at midnight Friday and Saturday, 11 p.m. the rest of the week. Happy hour will be 3 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Brookfield BelAir will offer takeout; the number is (262) 784-4938.

Belair Cantina is part of Toro, Toro, Toro restaurant group, owned by Leslie Montemurro, Kristyn Eitel and Scott Johnson; Noe Zamora, BelAir Cantina chef, also is a partner in the restaurants.

A sixth BelAir Cantina will open in Madison in summer.

Another Milwaukee-based restaurant, Cafe Hollander, will open its fifth location at the Corners in late May; Sendik’s grocery store is due there on April 23 and L.L.Bean on June 30. Construction is continuing on other shops and more than 200 luxury apartments.
