Charlie Garner is now dealing with the darker side of life after pro football.

In a Sporting News profile that ran on Monday, the former NFL running back and former Vol revealed that he is dealing with symptoms of Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE). Garner, at just 45 years old, is troubled by his deteriorating health.

"This is friggin' serious," Garner said, per Sporting News. "The doctors said this was going to start happening and now it's happening."
