Geno Auriemma's daughter criticizes his comments about women in coaching
UConn women’s basketball coach Geno Auriemma is used to criticism. When you’re a high-profile, outspoken coach, it goes with the territory.
But he probably didn't expect public criticism from his daughter. On Twitter, no less.
Auriemma, whose UConn Huskies face Mississippi State tonight in the women’s Final Four semifinals in Dallas, is under fire for comments he made about why the number of female coaches is falling.

“There’s a reason why there’s not as many opportunities for women,” Auriemma said Thursday. “Not as many women want to coach. It’s quite simple.” He added that he thinks more women choose to have a “normal life,” which apparently doesn’t involve coaching.
His daughter, Ally Auriemma, wasn’t having it, tweeting, “DAD. WALK IT BACK.” And she followed with what she thought her dad was trying to say. But the entire episode still left her “head-desking hard.”
