Emerald Beach triumphs over Sunset House

Submitted

The 5th Annual Bocce Tournament was intense as has been in the past. The trophy they call Palini returned to its original home after three long years of being admired and gloated over in the Sunset House social room.

Each condo had their top 12 players. The best three out of five was the goal.

From left, Jeff Pedersen, Joe Barry, Gary Rains, Nancy Sheridan, Gary Bourassa, Bill Reid, Nancy Reid, Karen Rains, Ted Wojnarowski, Roma Brodak, Carol Wojnarowski, Jackie Mills, Linda Lynch and Dick James.

It took Emerald Beach through the 5th game to declare victory. The games were played at Mackle Park, March 22.

Both teams were well represented by their condo friends and neighbors. They each had a large and loud cheering section.

The trophy was presented to the Emerald Beach team on their beach bridge. After the short ceremony both groups partied, sharing their stories of the day with plenty of food and beverage.

A green flash sunset ended a great day.
