Two women shot on Milwaukee's west side

Two women were shot Tuesday afternoon on Milwaukee's west side.

A 50-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries and a 38-year-old woman suffered serious injuries in the shooting in the 2700 block of W. Burleigh St., police said. They were taken to a hospital.

The circumstances surrounding the double shooting at 4:40 p.m. are under investigation. Traffic was blocked off at W. Burleigh and N. 28th streets.
