Applebee’s locations in Florida and Georgia recently presented a check for $58,811 to the Marines Corps in support of its Toys for Tots program. The funds were raised during the annual Breakfast with Santa events in which 100 percent of the proceeds benefit children during the holidays.

Honor

Dr. Alejandro Miranda-Sousa, of Urology Experts — with offices in Fort Myers, Bonita Springs and Cape Coral — has been named a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly Medical, a physician-led research team on a mission to help consumers find the best health care.

New hire

The Founders Fund announced Stacy Lee-Williams has been hired as the new Founders Fund administrator. Williams was the Donor Relations Coordinator for Our Mothers Home in Fort Myers.

Acquisitions

WhereverTV Broadcasting Corp. announced that it has completed the acquisition of Digital RodeoTV (country music), Digital CrossTV (faith-based), Digital PopTV and Digital RockTV.
