Milwaukee police are investigating an apparent drive-by shooting and a triple shooting that occurred within 20 minutes of each other Monday afternoon.

A 26-year-old man was wounded about 3:35 p.m. in the 6900 block of W. Tallmadge Place, according to a police news release.

Authorities believe he was shot by someone who was inside a passing vehicle, the release stated. The man was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive. Detectives continue to search for a motive and suspects.

Twenty minutes later, police were called to a shooting and found a 21-year-old woman seriously wounded in the 3600 block of N. 4th St.

Two men, ages 34 and 29, were later found at area hospitals and are believed to have been injured in the same shooting, police said. Police continue to investigate what led up to the shooting. No arrests have been reported.
