PHOENIX - A very familiar face to Brewers fans will throw out the ceremonial first pitch Monday as Milwaukee opens its 2017 season with a game against the Colorado Rockies at Miller Park.

The Brewers will give that honor to former club owner and baseball commissioner Bud Selig as a tribute for his 2017 election to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Selig will be inducted on his 83rd birthday on July 30 in Cooperstown, N.Y.

The club also announced that Mike Attanasio, son of team principal owner Mark Attanasio, will sing the national anthem. He is carrying on the tradition of his grandfather, Joe Attanasio, who traditionally sang the anthem before home openers. Joe passed away before the 2015 season.

All fans in attendance will receive a 2017 Brewers magnetic schedule. Gates to the Miller Park parking lots will open at 10:10 a.m., an hour earlier than in prior years, with the ballpark gates also opening at that time. There will not be overflow parking at the Wisconsin State Fair Park this year.

The 15th annual opening day brat relay race will begin at 10 a.m. at the Klement's plant on Chase Ave. and end at Miller Park.
