Police in Thousand Oaks search for suspects in attempted burglary

THOUSAND OAKS - Police were searching for two male teens who allegedly tried to burglarize a home late Monday morning near Cresthaven and Deep Wood drives, authorities said.

Police said they responded to a call of a possible residential burglary in progress in the upscale neighborhood. About 10 officers, assisted by K-9s and a helicopter, were involved in the search for the suspects, police said.

At least one person was home at the time, heard a window break and called police, according to Sgt. Scott Norris.

Police do not believe the suspects, described as males in their late teens, actually broke into the house. No arrests were made as of late afternoon.
