Texas closing wildfire supply points

The Texas Extension Service says Livestock Supply Points in counties affected by wildfires are closing after receiving an abundance of support.

The Livestock Supply Points were opened March 7 in response to wildfires that burned more than 540,000 acres across the Texas Panhandle. Producers affected by the fires have been able to pick up feed and hay supplies while they assess livestock needs and damages.

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service says hundreds of truckloads of more than 12,000 round and square bales have been donated to the region as well as other supplies which will continue to be distributed to producers.

Financial donations are still being accepted. More details can be found here.
