Florida Gulf Coast University's 200-yard free relay team of Hannah Burdge, Katie Latham, Gracie Redding and Fanny Teijonsalo wrapped up the 2016-17 season by finishing 15th in the country at the NCAA Championships and earning Honorable Mention All-American honors, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of American (CSCAA) officially announced earlier this week.

FGCU's quartet became the second relay in program history to earn All-American honors as they broke the school record in the event for the third time this season and advanced to the 'B' final at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis last weekend. In the finals, the Eagles finished 15th in the country with a time of 1:29.10 and tallied four points.

"Having a relay team score at NCAA's is an incredible achievement for our program," FGCU coach Dave Rollins said. "Being named an All-American for the first time is something these young women will remember forever. We are excited to use this as momentum and hope to continue to produce All-American relays as well as individuals in the years to come."

All-Americans were selected on the basis of their finish at the NCAA Championships and membership with the CSCAA. The top eight individuals and relay members in each event earned First-Team recognition, while those finishing ninth through 16th were named Honorable Mention All-American.
