Few people have had their NCAA tourney bracket busted in more spectacular fashion than Dwayne Johnson.

The West Virginia man was one game away from winning $1 million in Warren Buffett's annual March Madness contest. He correctly picked 29 of 30 winners in the first round of the NCAA tourney.

His one miss: He had the Marquette Golden Eagles over South Carolina. Johnson's winnings were $100,000.

Bufffett's contest for Berkshire Hathaway employees drew entries from 98,106 people out of the 367,000 who work for companies owned by the conglomerate, according to a story posted by Daniel Roberts on Yahoo Finance.

Johnson, the disappointed Golden Eagles fan, is a welder for Precision Castparts in Huntington, W. Va., Roberts reported.

Johnson told Roberts that he didn't do much research for the bracket.

“I spent 5 minutes here and there, over lunch, reading a couple articles on potential upsets, but it was kind of an afterthought,” he said. “Last year I had different methodology, I let my three sons pick whatever name sounded better. We didn’t make it very far that year.”
