Allen Park – The Detroit Lions have bolstered the team’s defensive line depth by re-signing edge rusher Armonty Bryant.

Defensive end Armonty Bryant reportedly has re-signed for one year at the veteran minimum and a $40,000 signing bonus.

A waiver claim from the Cleveland Browns last season, Bryant recorded three sacks in five games before suffering a season-ending knee injury.

Bryant came to Detroit with a history of drug-related problems, serving a pair of suspensions totaling seven games during the 2016 season, but he didn’t have any issues after he joined the organization.

The re-signing carries minimal risk. It’s reportedly a one-year deal for the veteran minimum and a $40,000 signing bonus.
