Karen Dalessandro, longtime morning voice on WMIL-FM, retires

Karen Dalessandro, longtime co-host of the “Karen, Scott and Radar with Shannen” morning show on WMIL-FM (106.1), is retiring. Her last day at the country music station was Thursday.

On WMIL's Facebook page, which calls her "irreplaceable," Dalessandro wrote: "You've all touched my heart in ways you'll never know. Doug (Dalessandro's husband) and I have lots of travel in our future and NO wake up calls! It's been an honor to be part of your lives the last 19 years. Love you Milwaukee!"

Dalessandro, who has been at WMIL for 19 years, was inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame in 2015.
