Kansas State athletic director John Currie answers reporters' questions about the future of the Big 12 in June 2010.

New University of Tennessee athletic director John Currie will be formally introduced to the public Thursday at 4:30 p.m. during a ceremony at Thompson-Boling Arena.

UT Chancellor Beverly Davenport announced Currie’s hiring on Tuesday. Currie, 45, spent the last eight years at Kansas State. He replaces Dave Hart, who announced his retirement last August. Currie begins work at UT on April 1.

The UT athletic department released comments about Currie on Thursday morning from Currie's colleagues, coaches and players he's worked with and associates.
